In this video we are going to show you how to cut an ESD Mat Roll.
The Elimstat 5300 series ESD mat roll is made of an anti static rubber material that is 2mm thick. The top surface is static dissipative and the bottom surface is conductive.
To cut the 5300 Mat roll, fix the mat to a starting point. Roll out the mat to a desired length and remove the accompanying plastic cover.
Place a T-Square on the mat roll, aligning it to your desired length. Cut the mat along the T-Square, keeping the blade flush to ensure a consistent cut.
To complete setting up your mat, Elimstat offers the 4730 series-grounding snap.
To add the grounding snap, place a soft support pad under the mat. This protects the table from the metal prongs of the snap. Press the snap into the mat with the prong side down. Use a support, such as a screwdriver, to press the snap fully into the mat.
Once the snap is flush against the top of the mat, turn over the mat and bend the prongs so that they bend inwards, securing the snap into the mat.

In this video, we are going to show you how to set up your 5300 series ANSI / ESD compliant workstation.
First, roll out an ESD safe mat roll.
This is the Elimstat 5300 series two-ply static dissipative mat. It is a two-ply nitrile rubber material that is 2 millimeters thick. The top surface is static dissipative and the bottom surface is conductive.
Next, remove the 4715 common point ground from the bag. Snap the common point ground onto the installed 10 millimeter snap.
Once the female snap on the mat is connected to the male snap on the common point ground, connect the eyelet on the other end of the wire to an outlet or to earth ground.
To install the eyelet onto an outlet remove the outlet screw and attach the eyelet onto the outlet screw. Screw both back into the outlet, making sure both are secured tightly. This grounds the mat and any accessory plugged into the common point ground.
Lastly, remove the wrist strap set from the bag and connect it to one of the two banana receptacles in the common point ground.
Wrist straps directly capture static from your skin’s surface, protecting your ESD sensitive components.
