ESD Air Ionizers are used to dissipate static off surfaces by using air instead of mats, wrist straps, shoe grounders, or cables to electrically bond (ground) those surfaces. Ionization is considered an alternative to grounding. In this section, we cover the way air molecules can be “ionized” to prevent static charge build up that leads to electrostatic discharges (ESD).
